Our Old World designs are never limited because we have the finest imported lime plasters at our disposal. Our finishes are durable and can be produced with little or no texture, to heavy texturing applications.  Many are colored throughout the product, not just glazed on the surface.  These pure, earth-based products are durable, colorful, and safe for everyone. And they are 100% natural VOC FREE lime plasters.

We create designs and finishes with the look and feel of limestone and marble because THEY ARE! Art In Vision, Inc. uses imported plasters from Italian quarries where the same production techniques invented by the Sumerians are still used, featuring:

Venetian Plasters are becoming increasingly popular.  You can take a trip to any home improvement store and find some type of Venetian plaster.  However, most of those are acrylic based plasters. We're happy to be able to offer the REAL DEAL. Yes, true, lime-based plasters from Italy! Our Plasters can be polished to a high gloss sheen if desired and many times has the wonderful look of polished stone, cut stone or marble.

Old World Finishes-  Italian Lime Plasters –

Grasello is a pure, long aged putty lime stucco. An exact reproduction of the Roman era plasters; its natural ingredients generate soft, luxurious marble effects, satin to heavy glossy looks. Grasello means 'skimmed cream of lime'.  Its actually obtained when skimming off the 'cream' of long aged (15 months!) slaked and high quality lime, then marble dust is added. The difference is noticeable.  These lime-based plasters are also stain and water resistant and can polish to any level of sheen you like.

Le Venitienis the most widely known of the "Venetian Plasters." It is the finish that is responsible for the recent high demand for lime based plasters here in the U.S. and is the one finish most imitated by many faux finish products. Le Venitien is composed of a mixture of pure slaked lime, natural vegetable oils such as linseed, and marble talc.

Marmorino is prehaps our most versatile product, Marmorino is a 100% pure lime-based plaster with Carrera rounded marble sand of 500 microns. The rounded marble makes it easy to apply. This product has been used since the 15th century and applicators can achieve a luxurious finish with polished, unpolished, aged, or contemporary stone effect.
